In the Congo Rainforest, a baby elephant is introduced to its community

In the dense Congo Rainforest, there is a clearing called the Dzanga Bai, or elephant village, where African forest elephants congregate to socialize and drink the mineral-rich water they need for a healthy diet. Here, an infant is introduced to the village by its aunts amid the purple light of dusk.
