"Middle Tennessee Group's Shirley Moulton has been building relationships with her representatives and mayors to campaign for Sierra Club positions for years. Currently her efforts have been focused on the TN Waste to Jobs Act and on the Jackson Law for Cheatham County. Due to her direct contact with local representatives and the Cheatham County mayor, Cheatham County has passed the Jackson Law.
This is a real win for area residents who will have the benefit of the local government having a voice over a new landfill should one try to establish or expand within Cheatham County."
Shirley's also a dedicated volunteer leader with our coalition partner TEC's recycling roundups, was involved in the Cheatham County community win against TVA's proposed methane gas power plant, and helped organize our recent Fall Retreat. Shirley is unstoppable!
