The Great Basin Group is one of four groups within the Toiyabe Chapter. Our area is northern Nevada, generally above US Hwy. 6 across Nevada. The Great Basin Group has one of Sierra Club’s most active group outings schedules, and more information is available at http://www.meetup.com/Sierra-Club-Hiking-Reno/events/calendar/. Our outings leaders are trained and qualified and knowledgeable about our area. In addition, we support getting kids outdoors with a special fund and we follow conservation and environmental issues in our area.
