Virginia Sierra Club Names Connor Kish as New Director

Virginia Sierra Club Names Connor Kish as New Director 

Virginia — The Sierra Club Virginia Chapter, a grassroots, non-partisan climate and environmental protection organization has named Connor Kish as its new Director. 

Connor Kish has served the organization as Legislative and Political Director since 2021. In that time, Connor played a significant role in securing climate policy accomplishments in the Commonwealth including the passage of Virginia’s Advanced Clean Car standards, strengthening oversight of utility monopolies and preserving the Virginia Clean Economy Act.  

“Connor’s dedication to building a Virginia where no community is overburdened by pollution and all families can benefit from clean energy is evident in his extensive record of environmental policy accomplishments,” said Ralph Grove, Chair of the Virginia Chapter executive committee. “With Connor at the helm, we are confident that the Virginia Chapter will continue to be an influential force that moves the commonwealth closer to a future where everyone can thrive in a healthy community.”

Connor Kish is a veteran of many successful political campaigns and policy initiatives in Virginia. Connor served Delegate Betsy Carr as her legislative aide in the House of Delegates for three years and later assisted House Majority Co-Whip Delegate Mike Mullin. In 2018, he was campaign manager for the Late Congressman Donald McEachin's successful bid for a second term in Congress. Connor graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a B.A. in Political Science and Communications Studies and currently resides in Richmond.
