Today, Virginia officially rejoins the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, restoring one of the Commonwealth's most effective tools for reducing pollution and investing in communities. This milestone belongs to every Virginian who fought to protect clean air and climate progress. We thank Governor Abigail Spanberger, the Southern Environmental Law Center, members of the General Assembly, and grassroots advocates whose persistence made this day possible. Today is proof that persistent grassroots advocacy can overcome political setbacks—and we're excited to continue building a cleaner energy future for Virginia.
