General Election Day November 4th
The Sierra Club endorses the best environmental candidates. Our recommendations offer essential guidance for voters. Our volunteers examine each candidate's environmental, record, questionnaire responses, and their experience of being a true champion on our issues. Experienced volunteers interview candidates and after multiple factors are weighed they vote, and then a senior team reviews and holds a deciding vote. |

Inform Your Votes With League of Women Voters Candidate Forums
All forums are posted on the League of Women Voters Playlist page as they occur. Viewers can select from the 2025 election recordings. These forums offer an opportunity to learn about elections and issues that may be unfamiliar. For instance, many people don't vote in the County Charter Commission elections for that reason, yet that Commission oversees our county constitution and has vital power to move toward or away from democratic principles. |

Two approaches to development. One saves trees. |
| Snohomish County Urban Trees
How will we protect our current 38% urban canopy coverage? What does "no net loss" mean? How will heritage trees be defined? Can building designs be flexible to accommodate housing needs and heritage trees too? A cross-departmental committee is currently working on these questions as they determine how to implement new urban tree policies. County Councilmember Megan Dunn has been championing efforts to protect urban trees. Please consider working with Kristin Kelly at Futurewise (edpas2016@gmail.com) to guide our county. |
