For more than 70 years, the Sierra Club Washington State Chapter has worked to advance climate solutions, act for justice, get people outdoors, and protect Washington's lands, water, air, people and wildlife.
We're a member-driven, volunteer-led chapter of the national Sierra Club, powered by more than 81,000 members and supporters. Through our local groups and statewide committees, we take on both statewide and local issues, connecting people to the places they love and helping them defend those places.
What we do
Advocate in Olympia
Members and volunteer lobbyists push for strong environmental laws every legislative session.
Protect lands, water and wildlife
We run campaigns and go to court to protect forests, salmon and wild places.
Get people outside
Free outings led by trained volunteers help people fall in love with the places we're fighting for.
Elect environmental champions
Our volunteers vet, endorse and campaign for candidates who will protect Washington.
