Pick a Topic and Action
Is there a national or local issue you care about and want to take action on? Are you unsure what to do? Here are some ideas!
Ways to Find Actions
- Check the news. If there's a challenge or problem you'd like to help solve, you can see if there are nonprofit groups working on it with actions you could take together.
- Emails or texts from environmental or other justice organizations.
- Find actions and opportunities to get involved on social media.
- Many organizations, content creators, and community pages will share how you can take action in response to recent events.
- Reach out to your local Sierra Club chapter and see if they have an action that could use more voices.
- Make up your own!
You can call your representatives, write letters to the editor, share on social media, put up posters and flyers, and more on anything you care about!

Pick a Date and Invite Friends Over
Check your calendar and reach out to friends and family. The best way to make it happen is to just pick a day you're free and go for it!
Nervous to start? Find someone to co-host with you, then pick a date and time together. That way, you can share the responsibility and make hosting more fun!
