Over 285,000 Americans Tell Polluting Automakers to End Attack on Clean Air

More than a quarter of a million Americans are telling automakers like General Motors, Toyota, and Fiat-Chrysler to abandon their support for the Trump administration’s rollback of national and state clean car standards, which will cost Americans $300 billion at the pump, increase climate pollution, and harm lung health. 

Because of outcry from tens of thousands of Sierra Club supporters, some automakers have committed to building cars that go far beyond the weak emissions standards Trump’s new terrible rules require.

 

This week, over 48,000 Sierra Club supporters joined a collective effort among environmental, consumer, health, faith, and family groups to deliver a message to the CEOs of several companies that continue to lag behind: Stop your attack on clean air and make cleaner cars!

Our petition represents a significant public outcry for these companies to change course to protect the health, safety, and pocketbooks of American families.
