Mission

To promote a sustainable world population by increasing public awareness of the environmental impacts of population growth and overconsumption of natural resources, and by improving access to reproductive choice, reproductive health and contraception that is both affordable and effective.

2016 Goals

  • Create rights-based language and promote its usage in population messaging throughout the California Club Chapters
  • Build a Population Committee website (or other online presence)
  • Keep a list of current California legislation related to family-planning, reproductive health, sex-education, and raising the self-esteem of young people at risk
  • Find ways to include more diversity - ethnic, gender, age, and income level - in our endeavors.  Start building broad coalitions - sexual and reproductive health and rights, environmental justice, and social justice
