About Chapter Outings
Get outside, connect with your community, and discover the incredible places close to home with your local Sierra Club chapter. More than 5,000 trained volunteer leaders guide over 15,000 participants each year on a wide variety of outings, including hikes, bike rides, bird walks, paddling trips, volunteer projects, and other outdoor adventures. Many chapters also offer affinity group outings for communities such as veterans, women, LGBTQIA+ people, and people with disabilities, creating welcoming outdoor experiences. Some chapters also host Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) programs, centering nature access for youth and families.
