Shea Roberts wants to represent Sandy Springs in the state House. We think she should, and we think she will. Shea nearly won the seat in 2018 running against the same opponent she faces this year. The district is swinging in Shea’s direction. We think that’s great, because Shea is a champion for several issues high on the Sierra Club hit list. She’s an advocate for a clean, green energy future. She’s also a fighter for women’s rights and an end to systemic injustice. As an attorney, Shea is also focused on Georgia’s dangerously inadequate election system. She’s campaigning to ensure that every Georgian will have a right to vote in trustworthy and reliable elections. She’s rightly concerned about the political rights of every Georgian now and after redistricting. We need people of conscience like Shea in the legislature. Sierra Club is proud to endorse her.
