Iowa legislature

  • Pipeline Events at the Capitol - we have scheduled a number of lobby days and rallies.  Feel free to join us.  If you have never engaged in citizen lobbying, we can show you how.

  • Bottle Deposit Law - It is now the middle of December and, the Legislature's Fiscal Committee has not scheduled a meeting to review the bottle deposit changes, as required by law.  You can help by writing to the committee members and asking for a meeting.

  • Water Sensors - Unfortunately, without an infusion of $600,000 to support Iowa's water sensor network, 60 sensors that measure nitrate and nitrate pollution in Iowa's waterbodies will go silent.  Ask your state representative and state senator to support fully funding Iowa's water sensor network.
