In August 2022, Congress passed an extension of the Investment Tax Credit (ITC), raising it to 30% for the installation of which was between 2022-2032. So, if you've ever been interested, now is the time to look into home solar!
The Sierra Club Michigan Chapter has partnered with Michigan Solar Solutions since 2015 to help Michigan Sierra Club members and supporters make their homes solar-powered. As of early 2019, the Sierra Club Michigan Solar Partnership program has provided significant carbon offsets equivalent to: 227,000 pounds of coal burned; 76 tons of landfill waste; 504,000 miles driven in an average vehicle; and 5400 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.
The partnership means these carefully vetted, qualified, residential solar-power installers and providers of the highest quality solar products will help move you into the clean energy column. Sign up now to connect with Sierra Club's partners who will evaluate your home's solar power capabilities, help you identify financing, and install the solar power systems that work for your home.
These installers provide a discount to Sierra Club members, and the Sierra Club Michigan Chapter receives a periodic donation based on the total wattage of systems installed. Michigan Sierra Club members and supporters who participate in the Sierra Club Solar Partnership will be able to work with our partners to choose from great packages or customized installations, including some discounted prices, for those who participate in the program.
