Sierra Club is one of the most versatile defenders of the environment through educational programs, citizen lobbying, election engagement, and more. For over 50 years, the Michigan Chapter of the Sierra Club has been advocating for Michigan's land, air, and water and fighting to keep our communities healthy and safe. There are so many ways to support our work!

MAKE A FINANCIAL CONTRIBUTION to Sierra Club Michigan’s effective, citizen-based advocacy efforts. Donations to support citizen engagement work, including citizen Lobby Days at the capitol and in district legislative work are not tax deductible, but are vital to Sierra Club’s success. PLANNED GIVING. With Sierra Club’s Gift Planning Program, you can designate funds to support the Chapter in a variety of ways, including bequests and charitable gift annuities.

COMMEMORATIVE AND MEMORIAL GIFTS. Celebrate important events or remember a loved one with a donation that supports protection of Michigan’s environment in their honor. 

MAKE A GIFT OF STOCK. Donating stock to the Sierra Club Michigan Chapter can be made through the Sierra Club Foundation in three easy steps:

1. Fill out this form.
2. Important! You must specify the Sierra Club Michigan Chapter under 'Purpose of the Gift' to ensure your contribution benefits Michigan.
3. Authorize your broker to transfer your shares. Electronic transfer to:  DTC 0164, Code 40

MAKE A CHARITABLE IRA ROLLOVER. For individuals 70 1/2 years or older, this can be done without incurring tax penalties and can be transferred to the Michigan Chapter via the Sierra Club Foundation.
