ATLANTA, GA -- Today, the Sierra Club launched a new mail program in Georgia’s 6th Congressional District in support of Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff. The program is designed to reach 41,000 voters in advance of the June 20 run-off, particularly targeting those who did not vote in the general election.
Two pieces of mail will be sent to registered voters, with the first reaching mailboxes today, June 6, and the 2nd hitting June 9.
In response, Ariel Hayes, Deputy Political Director of the Sierra Club, released the following statement:
“The Sierra Club is going to work in the 6th district because every voter deserves to hear about the clear choice they have between a candidate who sides with Donald Trump’s disastrous attacks on the health of our families and environment or Jon Ossoff, the only choice for voters who care about protecting Georgia’s clean air, clean water, and natural beauty.
