Oakland, CA -- The Sierra Club announced today that it has hired Lindi von Mutius to serve as the organization's new Chief of Staff, starting November 7.

As Chief of Staff, Lindi will assist Executive Director, Michael Brune, in shaping and managing organizational priorities and working to implement those priorities, vision, and change processes.

“The Sierra Club has always been on the cutting-edge of grassroots environmental activism, conservation, and litigation, as it is now at the forefront of building a more inclusive and progressive environmental movement,” said von Mutius. “I am honored to join the Sierra Club during this important time, and support the work of its staff.”

Lindi joins Sierra Club after serving as Director of Program Management at the Environmental Defense Fund.

“Lindi brings a diverse and valuable set of professional skills to this role, having worked as a corporate litigator and in-house counsel, lobbyist, conservation ecologist, and environmental justice advocate,” said Michael Brune, Executive Director of the Sierra Club. “We’re excited to welcome her to the team to help focus and lead our efforts to protect the health of our communities and our planet at this challenging time.”
