Yet again last night, Donald Trump took to again making up absurd claims about wind and solar energy. Even the crowd didn’t seem to know what to make of these lies. While it’s long been clear Donald Trump has his head in the sand on the climate crisis, it’s clear that ignorance extends to the booming clean energy job market as well.

Despite Trump’s best laid plans, jobs in clean energy have been the fastest growing in the energy field over the past decade

There are currently more than 350,000 jobs in wind and solar energy across the country. But the growth and success of wind and solar energy jobs isn’t a “blue state” issue, it’s an American success story in places that Trump ought to pay attention.

  • Pennsylvania has as many as over 6,000 wind and solar jobs

  • Ohio has as many as over 10,000 wind and solar jobs

  • Michigan has as many as over 7,000 wind and solar jobs

  • Iowa has nearly 11,000 wind and solar jobs

  • Florida has as many as over 13,000 wind and solar jobs

  • Nevada has as many as over 7,000 wind and solar jobs

Donald Trump is lying about and ridiculing clean energy jobs at his own peril.
