Washington, DC – Tonight, House Republicans adopted a FY2025 Budget Resolution that makes dangerous cuts to essential services and paves the way for huge handouts to billionaires and the fossil fuel industry.
In response, Sierra Club Legislative Director Melinda Pierce released the following statement:
“With this vote, House Republicans have shown they are willing to sacrifice essential services that help American families survive—all to pad the pockets of their billionaire buddies and polluter pals. The Sierra Club will continue to stand up to this administration and its dangerous policies, and we’ll fight to protect clean air, clean water, and a healthy life for all.”
