PHOENIX, AZ – Today during its fourth quarter financial results conference call, Pinnacle West Capital Corporation, parent company of utility Arizona Public Service (APS), reported an increase in its annual profits. The results are in sharp contrast to what Arizonans and APS customers are experiencing – spiked utility bills, and degraded air quality, all while Pinnacle West reported $617 million in profits in 2025. In the call, Pinnacle West also reported $423 million in dividends to shareholders.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources held a confirmation hearing on Donald Trump’s nomination of Steve Pearce to run the Bureau of Land Management.

During the hearing, Pearce was peppered with questions about his previous support for selling off vast swaths of federal public lands to private interests and opposition to national monuments. BLM manages approximately 245 million acres of public surface land and an additional 700 million acres of subsurface mineral rights.

Yesterday, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers issued a permit for the Southeast Supply Enhancement Project, an interstate pipeline proposed by Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Company, LLC. The Corps’ permit, issued under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act, authorizes Transco to cut crossings through more than 150 streams and wetlands.
