As a Chapter Organizer, Corkery has successfully led campaigns to address dangerous air emissions from New Hampshire’s coal plants, protect New Hampshire’s parks and public places, and promote the development of clean energy facilities statewide. In March, Corkery’s work culminated in the announced retirements of New Hampshire’s last two coal plants, ending the era of coal in New England.

Little Rock, AR – On Monday, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that the Arkansas Tri-Region Coalition was awarded $100 million in funding as part of the Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) program implementation awards. Washington, DC – Late last night, Congressional Republican leaders canceled a vote on the FY2025 Energy and Water Appropriations bill and pulled the measure from the House floor. Today, the House is considering FY25 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies. Both bills, ripe with poison pill riders and attacks on unrelated Biden administration climate policies, would make drastic cuts to the EPA and other agencies.
