The 303-mile project is stalled while awaiting necessary authorizations, including from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management.

The Pentagon’s proposed budget for fiscal year 2021 slashed the $15.5 million in federal funding for the newspaper. WASHINGTON, D.C— The Trump administration today announced a new proposed rule to circumvent establishing habitat protections for endangered species. The rule follows a string of other proposals to weaken the Endangered Species Act, including another rule proposed just last month putting additional restrictions on designation of critical habitat.

[Lacey, WA] -- Today, the Washington Department of Ecology (Ecology) released a new draft environmental analysis to evaluate the greenhouse gas impacts of the world’s largest fracked gas-to-methanol refinery, proposed in Kalama, Washington. The methanol refinery would use up to 320 million cubic feet of fracked gas per day, more than all of Washington’s gas-fired power plants combined.
