ATLANTA - Details on the costs incurred by Georgia Power to serve large load customers, namely data centers, will remain secret until 2028 following a vote Tuesday by the Public Service Commission (PSC). The commission voted unanimously in favor of a settlement agreement, referred to as the Stipulated Agreement, that doesn’t require the utility company to prove that data centers would result in lower rates for all customers or how the costs of bringing these facilities online will be socialized among existing billpayers.

Over the past two months, people across Oregon have expressed strong opposition to multiple proposals that would sell the state’s shared Forest Service and BLM natural spaces to fund tax cuts for billionaires.

Chicago, IL – Chicago’s Trump International Hotel & Tower has agreed to cease its illegal killing of aquatic life, bring its water intake structure into compliance with the Clean Water Act (CWA), and pay a record $4.8 million settlement after years of operating in violation of federal and state environmental law. The settlement is the result of a lawsuit filed by Friends of the Chicago River, the Sierra Club, and the Illinois Attorney General in 2018 after the Sierra Club discovered the Trump Tower cooling water intake violated state and federal law during a routine permit review.
