The rule protects millions of acres of wetlands and streams across the country that filter pollutants, provide habitat for fish and wildlife, and absorb floodwaters while protecting the drinking water sources for more than 117 million Americans.

Washington, DC -- Today, Donald Trump rescinded a Office of Natural Resource Revenue rule that prevented companies from selling fossil fuels extracted on public lands to a subsidiary at a low price, paying royalties on that initial sale, and then reselling the fuel at a far higher price without paying royalties on the second sale.

WASHINGTON D.C. -- As a result of an Open Records Act request and lawsuit filed by the Center for Media and Democracy, on Tuesday night the Oklahoma Attorney General’s office released a batch of more than 7,500 pages of emails and other records it withheld prior to Scott Pruitt’s nomination as EPA Administrator last Friday.

Pierre, South Dakota -- Parents are applauding the South Dakota House Education committee for rejecting a bill that would have allowed “alternative facts” to be taught in science classrooms. SB 55 would have allowed miseducation of students about climate change and other topics, with local or state administrators unable to intervene. After passing the South Dakota Senate, it was defeated today by the House Education Committee by a 6-9 vote.
