Please join us for this exciting virtual event.  We will hear presentations from Alice Redhead, Virginia Chapter Sierra Club Staff, organizer for the Ready for 100 Campaign, and from Virginia Chapter Sierra Club Renewable Energy Chairs Ivy Main and Susan Stillman on 2020 legislation which gives localities opportunities to move to clean energy sources.  Enacted into law is a new requirement for Virginia to report its greenhouse gas inventory in the next Virginia Energy Plan of 2022.  Representatives from several Peninsula jurisdictions will present their plans for mitigating climate change by reducing carbon pollution.  We plan to hold an annual meeting for updates on each locality’s progress on lowering emissions.
