Giving a BIG Thank You to Everyone Who Supported the Chapter during GiveBIG
by Ben Avery, Chapter Director, Sierra Club Washington State
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Sierra Club during this year's GiveBIG campaign — your generosity means our work to save salmon, protect wild places and fight for clean air and water has more impact. We also owe a special round of applause to everyone who weathered the avalanche of GiveBIG emails that flooded your inbox. Whether you gave, shared, or simply survived the email blitz, you are our heroes. If you missed the campaign but still feel the urge to give, the link is always open — no inbox flooding required!
Riches, Wreckage, Recovery: RSVP for our next River History Tour on June 13
by John Osborn, Spokane River-Lake Coeur d'Alene Team, Sierra Club
Entering another gilded age of oligarchy and corruption, you should know the story of the Spokane River-Lake Coeur d’Alene. It is also a teaching case for understanding the resilience to protect and restore fisheries, waters, and lands by tribes and non-tribal environmental advocates...

ICYMI: These Actions Still Need Your Voice!
🐟 Tell Congress: Stand up for salmon, orca, and more!
As mentioned earlier in Bill Arthur's blog post, we need you to take action and urge your U.S. Representatives and Senators to back the 2027 budget proposal for our salmon, steelhead, and other native fish that are vital to the environment, cultural identity, and economy of the Pacific Northwest.
🌲 Help Protect Our Wildest Forests from Trump
Our undeveloped national forests are the heart of our public land, but, if the "Roadless Rule" is repealed, 45 million acres of pristine national forests across the country would be opened up to road building and the logging, mining, and extractive industries that come with that. Our goal is to continue to demonstrate how popular this policy is, and to raise more awareness about it, by submitting even more comments to the administration than last year. Submit your comment today!

The State Building Code Council (SBCC) is considering a set of cutting edge codes that will help to continue the transition of Washington homes and buildings off of fracked gas. The SBCC needs to hear your voice in support of support climate friendly energy code updates. One of the updates would ensure that as old, conventional air conditioners wear out, they are replaced with modern heat pumps to increase efficiency, reduce carbon emissions, and save money.
