My forthcoming birthday is as good an occasion as any to announce my retirement from my remaining duties with the Sierra Club: my membership in the Sierra Sage management committee will end at the end of the year, along with my editing of the Sierra Sage website. I already ceased to edit the former OC Sierran last year, and my hiking group leader certification expired in May.
What I enjoyed most during these busy years of volunteering was my work with the OC Sierran in tandem with our websites, and I want to thank Morgan Goodwin, former Angeles Chapter Senior Director, and his excellent staff, Kim Orbe and Megan Spatz, for their support. I also thank Sophie Matson, Senior Digital Product Manager and the staff at the Sierra Club’s Digital Product Support for their expertise in getting these online publications into shape and published properly. My biggest thanks go to Helen who made sure our content was correct and sensical. I’m looking forward to celebrating our 58th wedding anniversary together next month.
According to my doc I’ll be hiking into my nineties, and I hope you see you on the trail.
