Larry Williams Jr. to give Keynote Speech at the Black Worker Center Conference

Larry Williams Jr., Sierra Club's Labor & Coal Coordinator and former President of the Sierra Club's Progressive workers Union has been invited to serve as the keynote speaker at the 2019 Bay Area Black Worker Center (BABWC) Membership Conference on June 8, 2019 at 10:00 am, at 1410 10th Avenue, Oakland, CA 94606.

The BABWC is a community based organization comprised primarily of Black labor and community members whose mission is to educate and empower the Black working class community. Key components of our program are to educate and inform the Black community about workers rights, assist formerly incarcerated people with employment, the impact of climate change and environmental justice. Our members recently assisted and participated in a Convergence On Climate Conference hosted by the Alameda County Labor Council.
