Helping Wildlife One Yard at a Time
October 14th, 2026
Join us for an engaging evening of learning as master naturalist, Lisa Williams, guides us through the role native plants play in supporting pollinators, wildlife, and healthy local ecosystems.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of how to identify and incorporate native plants into home landscapes and learn about the benefits of choosing native species over exotic plants in Northeast Florida. You may even go home with a keystone plant if you’re a lucky raffle winner!

Trail Talks on the Emerald Trail
October 14th, 2026
Trail Talks is a bimonthly series of programs on The Emerald Trail that explores conservation topics that can be applied to your home landscape. Each program will run from 9:30am-10:00am and feature a short, engaging topic with demonstration given by Groundwork Jax experts, followed by the opportunity to volunteer with Groundwork Jax from 10:00-11:00 pulling weeds and maintaining the butterfly garden on the trail.
The schedule for programs/ weeding on the trail is as follows:
- October 14, 2026- Native Plants 101
- December 9, 2026- Pruning Basics
- February 10, 2027- Design and Native Plant Selection for Full Sun Yards
- April 14, 2027- Adding Edible Native Plants and Trees to Your Garden
