Fields of Vision Photo Contest: Focus on Route 53 Corridor

Wildlife photo Taken in the Rt 53 Corridor

What are the best landscapes and most interesting wildlife of the greenway that once was slated to become the Route 53 highway extension? The Green Corridor Coalition — a coalition of environmental groups that includes the Sierra Club Illinois’ local Woods & Wetlands Group, Lake County Audubon Society, Openlands, Midwest Sustainability Group and Friends of Indian Creek Wetlands — is seeking the most captivating nature images of the greenway for its sponsored Fields of Vision Photo Contest.

The amateur-only contest offers cash prizes of up to $400 for the best photographs in three categories and age/experience groups. The winning images also will be displayed Nov. 1-19 at the Adler Arts Center in Libertyville. (Read the full Sierra Club Illinois blog post.)

Contest entries are free for children, and $10 for adults. Entries must be received on or before Sept. 30, 2021.
