Deerfield just flipped the switch on clean energy!

This month Deerfield celebrated the completion of its new solar array at the Water Reclamation Facility. The new solar array will...

• Generate more than 645,000 kWh of clean electricity each year
•  Offset about 23% of the facility's grid power use
•  Cut greenhouse gas emissions by the equivalent of removing 61 cars from the road for one year
•  Save Deerfield residents more than $1.1 million in utilities over its lifetime

Projects like this one are proof that environmental responsibility and fiscal responsibility can go hand in hand.
