Environmental activists meet regularly at the Lazy Black Bear in Paoli, IN to strategize with others that are trying to conserve our national and state forests in the Midwest

Stop Logging Our Public Land. That is what the Winding Waters Group asks of our elected officials and federal and state agencies. We ask the US Forest Service, the Bureau of Land Management, and especially the Indiana Division of Forestry to stop logging our public land and protect our resources rather than disturbing and destroying them.

The Winding Waters Group Executive Committee uses several avenues to protect the Hoosier National Forest, the Indiana State Forests, and other public lands of our great nation. We advocate to protect our forests and wildlands at the state and federal level by bringing news of legislation to our members and by offering Sierra Club actions to help them contact their legislators so that others can join our voice in working toward keeping these irreplaceable lands wild, public and protected.
