The Sierra Club understands that environmental justice and social justice are only possible in a free democracy. Protecting the environment comes hand in hand with protecting rights and encouraging access to nature for all. To fulfil this mission, the Sierra Club and Winding Waters members support social justice entities and activities in South Central Indiana in a variety of ways.

Juneteenth -  You will see WWG members tabling at the Columbus Juneteenth festival, and attending Black Lives Matter rallies and NAACP events.  We believe that supporting all communities leads to a just society.

Columbus Pride -  The WWG has tabled at Columbus Pride since its inception in 2018.   

Rallies -  You will see WWG members supporting democracy by attending 'No Kings' protests, 'Black Lives Matter' events, actions supporting immigrant rights, and more. Standing firmly as allies for all of our neighbors is essential in a free society.
