Maine Grassroots Climate Action Conference
Mainers are demanding action to protect our climate and move as quickly as possible to 100% clean energy. That’s why we launched our Maine Climate Action Team program with a grassroots climate activist conference on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Bowdoin College.
To join or form a Climate Action Team in your community, email us or call 207-761-5616.
The Maine Grassroots Climate Action Conference, co-sponsored by our partners 350 Greater Portland, brought together more than 100 climate activists from around the state, and provided them with ideas, policy guidance, and inspiration to implement a specific local climate/clean energy goal that fits their community. The conference included breakout sessions and presentations on specific Maine success stories and models, as well as training on effective community organizing strategies.
