16th Earth Day Lakeshore Celebration

Green March
Ottawa County Courthouse – 414 Washington Ave Parking Lot
12:15pm for Staging, March starts at 12:30pm
March with us through Grand Haven on foot, bicycle or anything that doesn’t use fossil fuels and carrying signs supporting Earth Day, sustainability and green living. We’ll march down Washington and up Columbus to the Earth Day Fair. Dogs are welcome!

Earth Day Fair
Grand Haven Central Park Place – 421 Columbus Ave
1:00 to 4:00pm: Visit many booths with demonstrations, information, food, games,  environmentally friendly products including Composting basics, free horse driven carriage rides, showcase of a number of Electric Vehicles (out front) for you to inspect and learn about during the fair and activities for kids too. There will be a special Art Project for kids/families: making a “Masterpiece” using found and discarded objects.

2:00 to 4:00pm 10-Minute Environmental Talks followed by Q & A  
Speaker topics   - Starting at 2pm on the half hour til 3:30pm

- Melanie Manion, Natural Resources Mgr -  What’s happening in Ottawa County Parks 
- Eric Snyder – GVSU Professor - Grand River Update 
- Find out about our fairly new Grand Havens  Sustainability & Energy Commission
