The Sierra Club and its partners have released two national guides aimed at accelerating the transition to clean, electric vehicles (EVs) and e-mobility in an effective and equitable way. These guides provide key stakeholders with model policies at the state, local and utility levels to drive progress.
The AchiEVe Focus Guides highlight the power of state leadership in advancing clean transportation, showcasing real-world examples of successful policies from across the country. By outlining what works, these guides offer concrete solutions that help people save money, reduce air pollution and improve mobility in communities nationwide.
While President Donald Trump continues to spread fear and attack climate and clean energy progress — dragging the U.S. backward as the rest of the world moves forward — state and local leadership will be more critical than ever in sustaining momentum for clean transportation.
In Michigan, EV-related jobs have become the fastest-growing sector in clean energy employment. The state’s mobility plan sets an ambitious goal of 100,000 charging ports to support 2 million EVs by 2030. Michigan should be at the forefront of electrification, leading the nation in clean transportation adoption while protecting our communities from climate and air pollution.
The Michigan Chapter is committed to fighting back at every turn — defending our environment, protecting our communities, and ensuring Michigan stays on the path to a clean energy future.
