Sierra Club Michigan Launches Women Veterans Outdoor Leadership Training Cohort

We are excited to announce the launch of a new Women Veterans Outdoor Leadership Training cohort. This program aims to equip women veterans with the skills and knowledge needed to lead outings for other women veterans, as well as support and advocate for women veterans seeking safe, accessible outdoor experiences. The need for spaces by and for women veterans in the outdoors is a big one, and you are part of making more of these spaces a reality.

Details about the Cohort:

  • Format: Online
  • Start Date: Feb 3, 2025
  • Who Can Join: This cohort is specifically for women veterans. There will be future opportunities for those who are not veterans, but are committed to being powerful advocates for women veterans and their connection to the outdoors.
  • Objective: Participants will gain leadership skills and insights that will help them create and lead outdoor experiences for women veterans, fostering inclusion, safety and empowerment in nature.
  • Application Deadline: January 31

If you are ready to take the next step in becoming an outdoor leader and supporting women veterans, we encourage you to register here today! Together, we can create lasting change and help more women veterans enjoy the benefits of nature.
