WASHINGTON, D.C. -- This weekend, Axios reported that Donald Trump not only refuses to accept the reality of the climate crisis, but he refuses to accept the scientific findings of his own Administration. Trump acknowledged he refused to read his Administration’s own National Climate Assessment, rejected the clear scientific consensus on climate disruption, and falsely claimed the climate will “change back” -- an absurd statement that also ignores the recent IPCC report that makes clear the world must take immediate and serious action in the next ten years to avoid catastrophic effects of the climate crisis such as food shortages and droughts which could occur by 2040, within the lifetime of much of the world’s population.

In response, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune released the following statement:

"Vote tomorrow, November 6."
