WASHINGTON, DC – Today, the House passed the Recovering America's Wildlife Act (RAWA) with a 231-190 vote. This historic bipartisan bill would invest nearly $1.4 billion for states, territories, and Tribes to amplify their work in recovering, conserving, and protecting at-risk wildlife and habitat.

In response, Bradley Williams, Associate Director of Legislative and Administrative Advocacy released the following statement:

“We have a once in a generation opportunity to protect biodiversity. By confronting the wildlife crisis, we also address the interconnected climate crisis and nature equity gap, creating a healthy, livable planet for us all. This bill presents a funding solution that matches the enormity and magnitude of the biodiversity crisis, ensuring state, local, and Tribal leaders have the ability to conserve wildlife at risk of extinction. We welcome today’s decision and look forward to its swift passage in the Senate.”
