California Public Utilities Commission Rejects Fracked Gas Pipeline in San Diego The pipeline would have cost customers $2 billion over 45 years at a time when clean energy is significantly reducing the need for gas in California. Today the California Public Utilities Commission released a proposed decision denying San Diego Gas & Electric Company and Southern California Gas Company’s planned $2 billion fracked gas pipeline.

Today, the EPA is holding a listening session on Trump and his EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt’s plans to repeal the Clean Power Plan today in San Francisco --the second of just three scheduled listening sessions across the country.

LA City Council Takes Major Step Toward Electrifying Buildings LOS ANGELES, C.A. -- Today, the Los Angeles City Council voted to direct the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) to establish building electrification targets in its 2018 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). The targets should align with the city’s existing greenhouse gas reduction goals of 45% and 65% reductions by 2025 and 2035. The Council motion also takes steps to identify other strategies to reduce gas consumption in buildings and to study the costs and implications of zero emission buildings.
