Today, the Huffington Post reported that Acting EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler’s old lobbying firm, Faegre Baker Daniels Consulting, was fired by Murray Energy shortly after Trump announced his plans to nominate Wheeler to head the EPA.

Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler will not consider federal limits on per- and polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) chemicals that are fueling a water contamination crisis in hundreds of communities across the country, including in Colorado. PFAS chemicals have been detected in water supplies for more than 100,000 Colorado residents.

On January 29, Mayor Marty Walsh announced the City of Boston’s next steps for updating Boston’s Climate Action Plan, which include creating “implementation roadmaps” to reach the city’s climate goals. The Climate Action Plan will be informed by the newly released Carbon Free Boston report, produced by Boston University’s Institute for Sustainable Energy, which outlines pathways to achieving 100 percent carbon neutrality by 2050.

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Moments ago, Donald Trump announced he will sign Congressional Democrats’ proposal for a three-week continuing resolution, temporarily reopening the government. The backlog in pay to federal workers totals nearly $6 billion -- wages Trump doesn’t know when will be paid back. Trump also pushed a proposed Homeland Security legislation that would secure the funding for the wall. Again, Trump threatened to shut the government back down or declare a national emergency to construct his border wall should his demands continue to be rejected.
