The Sierra Club, along with a coalition of environmental groups and states, had sued the Trump administration for issuing a rule indefinitely delaying an increase in penalties for violations.

Scott Pruitt is losing more support from Congressional Republicans at the same time he still refuses to listen to Donald Trump. The Washington Post reported on Friday that Trump told Pruitt directly to “cool it” with the scandals. Since then, Pruitt has been exposed for nearly countless new scandals and has been found to have broken the law, all while complaining about not being able to continue exploiting the American taxpayers to fund his preferred lavish and luxurious lifestyle. All of this couldn’t come at a worse time as Pruitt is set to testify between not one, but two House committees this week.

The state’s new efficiency goal equates to saving the energy used by 1.8 million homes, and will deliver nearly one third of the state’s broader Greenhouse Gas Reduction target. The Governor’s initiative aims to “deliver benefits to New York consumers through new building retrofits, efficient appliances, and innovative technologies like heat pumps.”

Air quality in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area is among the worst in the nation, according to the American Lung Association State of the Air 2018 report released on Wednesday. The American Lung Association gave Pittsburgh an “F” grade for ozone and particle pollution and ranked the city 8th for annual particle pollution in the country, highlighting the need for Pittsburgh to transition off of dirty fuels towards 100 percent clean and renewable energy.
