The funds, which were announced in January 2025, would have financed clean energy resources to support the utility's transition to clean energy and away from coal.

Washington, D.C. - Today, the Trump administration released yet another coal industry handout by proposing to undo the Environmental Protection Agency’s previous disapproval of State Implementation Plans from states failing to meet their Clean Air Act obligations under the federal ozone air quality standard. Previously in 2023 the EPA had determined that most of these states had failed to meet their obligation to protect downwind states from significant smog-causing pollution, and had in 2024 proposed making the same determination for the others.

BOSTON - A judge in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts has granted a preliminary injunction for yet another one of Donald Trump’s freezes on offshore wind. Judge Brian Murphy ruled Wednesday that Vineyard Wind, a 13 megawatt wind project off the coast of Massachusetts, may resume construction.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the U.S. Forest Service announced a revised oil and gas leasing rule that fast-tracks dirty energy projects in national forests.

In a press release, Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said the policy would “streamline” the process for allowing oil and gas projects on landscapes managed by the Forest Service.
