Q: How and when did you first become involved with Sierra Club?
A: I signed up at UCSF when approached by a student volunteer after I had come to visit my wife who was at UCSF hospital at the time. I signed up and became more involved in 2013 after my wife’s recovery.
Q: How has your involvement with Sierra Club changed your life?
A: It makes me feel that I’m contributing to the preservation of things that are worthwhile and that my children and future grandchildren will enjoy when I’m gone.
Q: What is one of your fondest memories participating in a Sierra Club event or activity?
A: Bringing my family to see the screening of “An Inconvenient Truth part 2” sponsored by the Sierra Club and having a discussion about the movie and the environment with them afterwards.
Q: What do you see as Sierra Club’s fundamental role in your community?
A: To protect our air, water, and earth as well as preserve our remaining wild lands and forests.
Q: What is your favorite thing about living in Northern California?
A: Being close to the ocean, the bay, wetlands, rolling hills and the beautiful Redwood Forests.
Q: Where in the outdoors would we most likely find you?
A: In the Redwoods or at the Beach.
