The Jersey Sierran

The Jersey Sierran is the quarterly publication of the New Jersey Chapter of the Sierra Club.

The Jersey Sierran is available in both print and electronic form. All paid members automatically receive copies of the print newsletter and the electronic version if they have provided the Club with their email address. To save paper and opt out of the print newsletter, please write to Tony Hagen at editor@newjersey.sierraclub.org. You will continue to receive the electronic newsletter via email, and you can access current and previous issues on this webpage.

An advantage of the digital newsletter is that it generally contains more editorial content than there is room for in the print edition.

Articles, columns, photos, tables and graphics in The Jersey Sierran are predominantly authored by Chapter volunteer members and paid staffers.

The newsletter’s editorship has changed over the years, but its primary functions remain the same: To educate the Chapter’s membership about environmental health in New Jersey, to spur environmental advocacy and participation, to share information about Chapter activities, to offer members organized opportunities to get out and explore the diverse wilderness in New Jersey, and to enable individual members to communicate directly with the Chapter as a whole.

All content is edited and reviewed by The Jersey Sierran Editorial Board for accuracy, clarity, and appropriateness.

For answers to questions about the publication, including editorial submissions, reprint requests and advertising, please contact Tony Hagen at editor@newjersey.sierraclub.org
