Style Guide: Typefaces

  1. Main
  2. Typefaces

Primary Typefaces

Ringside is the recommended sans serif font for most uses, web and print. It’s the primary font used on the recent website refresh. As a general rule, use Ringside Light for most text applications and use Ringside Bold when text emphasis is needed - set both these fonts to Regular width where possible. All weights and widths are approved but by starting with these recommended settings, you’ll be helping to ensure consistency across Sierra Club communications. Purchase a license and download here.

As a cost-effective  alternative, you can use Lato which can be downloaded here (Also available for use in Google Docs).

Secondary Typefaces

Sentinel is the recommended serif font for large amounts of body copy and, occasionally, subtitles and callouts. When in doubt, just use a sans serif. Purchase a license and download here.
