Joan McBride is an experienced political leader and an effective advocate for the environment. As Mayor of Kirkland she championed transit and transit-oriented development. If elected, she will actively push for a balanced transportation bill that expands public transportation. She is fully supportive of Gov. Inslee’s climate agenda and was one of several Eastside mayors to endorse the State Climate Legislative and Executive Workgroup (CLEW) in 2013.
