Sam Hunt has been an advocate for both education and environmental priorities. He sponsored laws to reduce mercury from the workplace and products and to implement recycling of mercury-containing products and to mandate removal or repair of failing septic systems along Puget Sound. He opposes fossil fuel export terminals and the growing number of coal/oil trains crossing Washington State. He supports increasing use of solar/wind energy and protection of our waterways.
