Efforts to block who gets to vote increases every year. We have especially seen a huge jump in attacks on voting access since the 2020 election. In addition, disinformation and election lies are on the rise, confusing and discouraging voters. Protecting access to the ballot is critical to ensure all voices have an equal chance to be heard.
The Sierra Club works with the Election Protection Coalition, a network of 300+ organizations working to ensure all voters have an equal chance to vote and have their votes counted. We mobilize Sierra Club activists and staff to be poll workers and poll monitors, help provide technical and legal support through the hotline and outside polling locations, and monitor election disinformation.
