The People Powered Lobby

Taking Our Stand for Hardworking Kentuckians to Frankfort.

We are building a people-powered movement to counter corporate lobbyists in the 2026 Legislative Session. Their unchecked influence is costing Kentucky families more than we can afford.

Your role in the movement starts here.

Below one white box coming from the left side has black lettering the reads, "The people of Kentucky" and on the other side a white box with black lettering reads "or corporate greed"

The Problem: We see through the false choices—jobs or clean water, a strong economy or healthy communities—designed to divide us while they pick our pockets and sell out our future.

Our Plan: United We Stand, Divided We Fall isn’t just our motto. It’s our plan. We are uniting to demand an answer from Frankfort: Which Side Are You On? Protecting corporate greed, or fighting for the people of Kentucky?

Why Now: Corporate lobbyists and special interests work year-round. We see the results in our higher bills and stagnant wages. We cannot wait to fight back—we are building our power now.

Why You: The answer to the immorality of insatiable greed has always been the power of the people. When the "Have-Mores" try to have it all, it's never money that restores the balance. It's people. You are the answer this moment needs.

Proud of Our Past: This is our Legacy...

This isn't a new fight. It’s the oldest fight we have.

For generations, the people of Kentucky powered our nation. The hands that mined the coal to build America were the same hands that built a labor movement to challenge corporate greed.

Coal miners were among the first industrial workers to organize, fighting for their safety and our communities. Because coal was the lifeblood of the Industrial Revolution, miners were thrust onto the front lines of nearly every major labor and political struggle of the era. Kentucky has a proud history of standing up to powerful interests.

Kentucky’s legacy of solidarity was forged in fights like the one in Harlan County, where Florence Reece wrote the anthem “Which Side Are You On?” from her home, bravely calling out, “Don't listen to their lies, Us poor folks haven't got a chance unless we organize.”

That same spirit was alive decades later with the brave strikers at Brookside, where the Brookside Women’s Club—approximately 100 wives, mothers, and daughters—stood on the front lines. These women knew what we know today: we deserve both a good-paying job and a healthy community. Their strategy was solidarity. Their rallying cry was, "United We Stand, Divided We Fall."

For them, and for us, solidarity is not just a slogan—it is the only strategy that wins against immense power and money. That truth is just as valid today.

That’s why we’re building The People Powered Lobby. This is our promise to continue the fight. We are proud of our past, powered by our people, and fighting for an affordable, healthy, and resilient future.

We will stand in solidarity for a Kentucky where every family has clean water, lower energy bills, and a healthy community—an economy that works for everyone, not just Wall Street.

Powered by Our People: This is Our Strength...

Black background with white text that reads, "Proud of your past, powered by our people, fighting for out future, United"

The greatest obstacle to progress isn't just opposition—it's division. Division is a simple, powerful strategy to maintain the status quo. But we know a greater truth: our survival depends on our unity. To save our planet, we must stand together in our common cause, undivided.

In a political age designed to divide us—pitting Red against Blue, Coal Miners against Environmentalists—we are told these are the battles that matter.

But these divisions are a distraction.

The real line that divides America is not between parties or professions. It’s the corporate powers who profit from sickness and pollution against the people who just want a fair shot.

It’s the miner who can’t get his black lung benefits.

It’s the cancer patient being bankrupted by medical bills.

It’s the farmer working a second job just to keep the family farm.

It’s the teacher, underpaid and overworked, shaping our children's future.

Their struggle is our struggle. Our cause is common.

We are Proud of our Past, shaped by the hands of every day Kentuckians.
We are Powered by our People, from the mountains to the rivers.
And we are Fighting for our Future, for our children’s future right here in this state.

So this year, we ask one simple, unavoidable question—a question that has echoed through history in times like these:

Which Side Are You On? A system that prioritizes profit over people, or a future that works for all of Kentucky?

Fighting for Our Future: This is Our Moment. This is our Movement...

We see the old divides for what they are—a strategic distraction that has only ever benefited the powerful. We are setting down our differences and picking up our Common Cause.

We believe:

  • Every Kentuckian deserves clean water from their tap.
  • Every family deserves to breathe clean air.
  • Every person can earn a good living that supports their family and allows them to thrive, not just survive.

These are not privileges reserved for after the powerful have taken their share. They are fundamental rights.

We will be in Frankfort, in town halls, and in the streets to demand our elected officials end a system that privatizes profit and socializes risk.

Above our capitol flies a motto that is stitched into our flag and etched onto our hearts: "United We Stand, Divided We Fall."

This is far more than a historical relic; it is our enduring call to action. It is the recognition that our shared challenges are too vast to face alone, but our collective power is boundless together.

United in common cause, we stand. Divided from it, we fall.

Let us choose to be...
